Kathmandu, Nov 8: A group of 22 young women who were about to board a flight to Kuwait on a visit visa were sent back from Tribhuvan International Airport due to concerns over human trafficking.
The women were scheduled to fly to Kuwait on a Himalayan Airlines flight at 9:45 PM Thursday, with a stopover in Dubai. However, upon checking their travel documents, authorities found that they had a Dubai visa but a boarding pass for Kuwait. This raised suspicion, leading to their return on the same night.
Although the women had a Dubai visa and a boarding pass for Kuwait, no arrests have been made so far. Police detained a man for questioning, but he was released after investigation.
The incident has raised alarms regarding potential human trafficking activities, with authorities taking precautionary measures to prevent exploitation. #trafficking #visitvisa #nepal #crime
