KATHMANDU: The coronavirus has killed 225 people in a single day. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the Nepal Army has managed the bodies of 225 people in the last 24 hours.
The number of deaths due to coronavirus infection in Nepal has reached 4,084.
In the last 24 hours, 21,316 samples have been tested and 9,483 people have been infected. The number of active infected cases has reached 97,008.
Of which, 89,914 are in home isolation and 7,094 in institutional isolation. Of those in institutional isolation, 1,084 are in ICUs and 290 are on ventilators.
According to the Ministry, the highest number of coronavirus cases has been reported in Kathmandu (2788), Rupandehi (709), Lalitpur (602), Bhaktapur (537) and Banke (506).
