KATHMANDU: The country on Saturday recorded a total of 236 new cases of coronavirus infection, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The recent number of coronavirus infection was confirmed after conducting tests among 9,178 persons.
In the last 24 hours, altogether 307 enjoyed full recovery from the infection, taking the total number of recovered persons at 806,544. Currently, the recovery rate is 97.9 percent.
With this, the total COVID-19 caseload 823,908 from PCR tests and total infection 95,770 from the antigen tests, according to the Ministry.
The country now has 5,883 active cases of coronavirus while 5,606 of them are in home isolation and 277 others in institutional isolation.
The Ministry shared that 112 persons are receiving treatment in ICU and 27 others are in ventilator support. In the past 24 hours, an individual died of the COVID infection.
So far, 11,553 people lost their lives of coronavirus infection. Likewise, altogether 266,988 persons received COVID vaccine during the review period, according to the Ministry.
