Kathmandu, April 9: Police have arrested 25 individuals from various parts of the country in connection with drug-related offenses.
According to the Central Police Newsroom, two individuals were apprehended from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7 with 305 tramadol tablets. Similarly, two suspects were arrested from Mitrunagar, one from Kalika Municipality-2 in Chitwan, and two from Madi Municipality-6.
In Kailali, one person was detained from Tikapur Municipality-9, Baluwatar. In Sunsari, three individuals were arrested from Inaruwa Municipality-4, Baschowk, while four others were taken into custody from Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality-5, Mude in Sindhupalchok, with brown heroin.
Likewise, six people were arrested from Urlabari Municipality-2, Dumre in Morang. One individual was detained from Mechinagar Municipality-6, Kakadbhitta–Bahundangi Road in Jhapa. Two people were arrested from Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-21 in Bara, and another two from Bishnu Rural Municipality-5, Fenhara Chowk in Sarlahi.
Police also arrested one person from Gajuri Rural Municipality-2, Ratamate in Dhading with 30 kilograms of narcotics, and another from Madhuban Municipality-6 in Bardiya.
The arrests were made as part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb drug trafficking and abuse across the country. #nepal #drugs
