KATHMANDU, Dec 17: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed Dav Whatmore of Australia as the Head Coach of the Nepal National Cricket Team.
Issuing a press statement today, CAN Secretary Ashok Nath Pyakuryal stated that the decision will come in effect from January 1, 2021.
Whatmore has coached many countries but is better known as the world cup winning coach of the Sri Lankan national team, when it won the coveted cup in 1996.
Similarly, the CAN has appointed Raunaq Bahadur Manna as General Manager, Ramesh Kumar Neupane as Chief Finance Officer, and Binod Kumar Das as Cricket Manager of the CAN.
