Apple has officially sent out media invites for its biggest event of the year where it is expected to launch the 2019 iPhones. The invite reads, “By Innovation Only. Please join us for an Apple special event at the Steve Jobs theatre at Cupertino. September 10, 2019 at 10:00 am.”
It is expected that Apple will unveil three new iPhones at the event. What is also expected is an upgrade to the Apple Watch 4.
Rumours and leaks have so far suggested that the Cupertino-based tech giant will launch the successors to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR.
The rumoured names of the new iPhones are iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 11. Among the new features that are expected in the new iPhones are triple rear camera setup. However, the triple rear camera set up is expected to make its way in the successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The successor of the iPhone XR is expected to have a dual rear camera setup.
The new iPhones are expected to be powered by A13 processor.
It is also rumoured that the new iPhones will have better battery life than the predecessors. As far as the displays are concerned, the successors of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are said to have OLED displays, just like the 2018 iPhones. Similarly, the successor to iPhone XR is likely to continue to have a LCD display.
As far as the Apple Watch is concerned, it is rumoured that two new cases – titanium and ceramic – will feature in this year’s Watch. What’s interesting this time is that there have been very few rumours regarding the new Apple Watch. It’s not certain whether the new Watch will be called Watch Series 5 or Apple might just give an upgrade to the Apple Watch Series 4. More details will naturally be confirmed on the day of the launch, which is September 10. (The Times of India)
