Doti, Feb 6: The High Court Dipayal has today issued a show-cause notice in the writ petition of Whip of Nagarik Unmukti Party and member of House of Representatives, Arun Kumar Chaudhary.

The High-Court Dipayal issued the show-cause notice but not an interim order in the writ petition filed by Chaudhary, said Information Officer of the High-Court Dipayal, Nar Bahadur Negi.

Chaudhary had filed a writ petition at the High Court Dipayal, demanding his release by revoking the deadline given on his case as he was not aware about the verdict issued by the District Court, Kailali.

A single bench of Judge of the High-Court Dipayal, Arjun Prasad Koirala, issued a show-cause notice in the name of the District Court, Office of the District Attorney and the District Police Office, Kailali, without issuing an interim order, said Negi. He added the High-Court Dipayal ordered Chaudhary to present in the court within 15 days if he has reasons and proof to issue an interim order on his case.

Another hearing on the case has been called for February 12. The District Court Kailali had decided to send Chaudhary to six months in jail and fine him Rs 800,000 on an incident of arson case that occurred 13 years ago.

Chaudhary was arrested from Banke few days ago on the same case.
