Kanchanpur, Jan 6: Three local levels in Kanchanpur district have decided to close academic institutions for three days due to severe cold conditions affecting the region.
Normal life in the district has been disrupted by the biting cold. Laljhadhi Rural Municipality, Belauri Municipality, and Beldadi Rural Municipality have announced the closure of both community and institutional schools from Monday to Wednesday to protect children from the adverse effects of the cold.
The local governments stated that the decision was taken to safeguard students’ health and have urged parents and guardians to keep their children at home and adopt necessary precautions against the cold wave.
Laljhadhi Rural Municipality said that the leave granted to students will be adjusted by reducing the winter vacation.
Meanwhile, daily life in market areas has also been affected, with human mobility slowing down in the district headquarters due to the excessive cold. #nepal #cold
