Kathmandu, April 21: To accelerate infrastructure development, Tribhuvan International Airport, the main airport of Nepal located in Kathmandu, will be closed for seven hours daily until May 18.

According to Indu Raj Adhikari, Chief of the Terminal Management Division, all flight takeoffs and landings will be suspended from 11:45 PM to 6:30 AM to carry out pavement re-construction work.

Construction is currently ongoing on the taxiway located alongside the runway. For safety reasons, the airport will be completely closed during nighttime, a notice issued by the airport office said.

The office also urges airlines to adjust their flight schedules as needed to minimize the impact of the shutdown. Nepal #airport #TIA
