BAGLUNG, Dec 11: Radio Dhorpatan, which operates in Dhorpatan Municipality, has purchased an ambulance with the financial support of IME Group President and Senior Vice President of FNCCI Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Prabhu Group President Devi Prasad Bhattachan.

Businessmen Dhakal and Bhattachan on Thursday handed over the keys of the ambulance to Radio Chairman Dorna Kunwar in Kathmandu. Chairman Kunwar said that the regional committee of Nepali Congress Baglung-2 has also raised some funds for the ambulance.

The radio had taken the initiative to purchase an ambulance while the ambulance service was being disrupted in West Baglung. The ambulance was purchased at a revenue discount.

The ambulance worth Rs 4 million was purchased for Rs 11.57 lakh, said Chairman Kunwar. “There was no ambulance service in Nisi, Bhuji and Tamankhola areas of West Baglung district. There was a problem in getting the patients to the hospital on time,” said Chairman Kunwar.
