ANFA Technical Center to be built in Kaski



KATHMANDU: The ANFA Technical Center is being constructed in Bhindabari of Machhapuchche Rural Municipality-6 of Kaski.

It was finally confirmed after the bids were called for the construction on Friday.

The center is being built under the technical development program of the International Football Federation (FIFA).

It is also reported that such Technical Center is FIFA’s first program in Asia.

An investment of Rs. 170 million will be made in the first phase for the construction of the technical center, which ANFA has taken as a ‘dream project’.

FIFA will bear the entire cost of the project to be completed in four phases estimated to cost Rs 850 million.

According to CEO of ANFA and Chief of the Project Gokul Thapa, it took time to complete the paperwork due to land acquisition, detailed project report (DPR) of the project and design, environmental impact assessment, corona epidemic etc.

The structure of multi-purpose technical center will be constructed in 252 ropani of land in Bhindabari.

According to ANFA, the proposed project will include two training grounds, a main ground with a capacity of 5,000 spectators, two football fields, a futsal field, an artificial small field, a badminton court, a running field and a running water swimming pool.

The building also includes four dormitory buildings for men and two women, two practice buildings, three guest houses, two executive housing buildings, two security guard houses, seven toilets, open food court, ticket counter and medical center.

Project Chief Thapa shared that ANFA plans to complete the project in four phases.

In the first phase, it is mentioned that training ground, men’s dormitory, practice block, executive and guest house, and surrounding wall will be constructed.

In the second phase, main ground, administrative building, medical center, women’s housing will be constructed and in the third phase, practice ground, training block, swimming pool and ticket counter will be constructed.

In the technical center, football game will be taught and players will be produced by keeping teenagers of different age groups.

In addition, there is a plan to conduct closed training of domestic and foreign national football teams.
