Kathmandu, Sept 28: The Nepal Army Chief General Prabhu Ram Sharma has returned home after taking 5-days conference on 13th Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference (IPACC) in New Delhi, India.
The IPACC was organized jointly by the Indian Army and US Army.
According to Nepal Army, a total of 30 country’s army commanders and army officials took part in the conference. The theme of the conference was “Together for Peace: Sustaining Peace and Stability in the Indo-Pacific Region”.
Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Sharma also held separate meetings with Army Chiefs from India, Australia, Bangladesh, Japan, United States of America, United Kingdom including Chief of Defence Staff of India.
He also visited New Delhi-based National Defense College (NDC). On this occasion, General Sharma spoke about the “Contribution of the Nepali Army in Nation Building and Enhancing Nepal’s Foreign Policy”. Now, three senior army officials have been taking training there. Even, General Sharma took a training from this NDC.
Likewise, a team of senior army officials also returned today with General Sharma. The army officials took part in the “47 th Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS)” and “9th Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF)”.
According to Nepal Army, the visits and participation have created opportunities to share experiences on common issues of security of the world.
