Kathmandu, July 23: India has posted 178 runs against Nepal in the Asia Women’s cricket tournament played in Sri Lanka today evening.
Winning the toss, India women team chose to bat first. Their opening duo scored rapidly, but Nepal restricted India in 178 runs with the loss of three wickets.
For India, opening batter Shafali Verma top scored with 81 runs facing 48 balls. Likewise, Dalayan Hemalatha scored 47 runs. But, Jamimah Rodrigues scored important 28 runs at the end.
Nepali bowlers Sita Rana Magar took 2 wickets and Kabita Joshi grabbed 1 wicket.
