Bagmati CM Lama to seek vote of confidence on July 30

Kathmandu, July 28: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamanag) is scheduled to take vote of confidence at the Province Assembly meeting on July 30.

Secretariat of CM Lama shared that CM Lama registered a letter seeking trust motion in his favour at the Province Assembly Secretariat.

The constitution mandates that the CM seeks vote of confidence within 30 days of the appointment. CM Lama’s Secretary Darji confirmed, “CM Lama has registered a letter for vote of confidence. As per the letter, the Province Assembly meeting has been summoned on July 30 at 3:00 pm.”

Lama was appointed to the post on July 23.

The Bagmati Province Assembly consists of 37 members from Nepali Congress, 27 from CPN (UML), 21 from CPN (Maoist Centre), 13 from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, 7 from CPN (Unified Socialist), 3 from Nepal Workers and Peasants Party and 2 from Hamro Nepali party.
