Hetauda, Oct 30: The Bagmati Province government has filed a writ petition against the federal government at the Supreme Court.

The Bagmati province government on Sunday filed the writ petition at the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court, naming the government of Nepal the defendant citing it interfered the jurisdiction of the province government.

It knocked the door of the SC against Urban Area Public Transport (Management) Authority Act, 2079. Province Minister for Labour, Employment and Transport, Laxman Lamsal, on behalf of the province government, registered the writ petition.

The Bagmati province government claimed that the Urban Area Public Transport (Management) Authority Act, 2079 was endorsed by the Federal Parliament interfering with the constitutionally given rights.
