Kathmandu, Nov 19: A large crowd of Hindu devotees gathered and worshiped at the Pashupatinath Temple area, including Devghat Dham and other Shiva temples and holy river sides on the occasion of Balachaturdashi festival.
Balachaturdashi is a religious day dedicated to remembering and honoring departed souls. Devotees believe that performing rituals on this day helps ensure peace for the souls of the deceased. It falls on the 14th day (Chaturdashi) of the Kartik Krishna Paksha (the waning moon phase), usually in November or December.
