KATHMANDU: Independent candidate of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Sah has continued to lead in the race for Mayoral seat.
According to Kathmandu Election Office, he has secured 6,692 votes, while former Mayor Keshav Sthapit from CPN UML has gained 3,562. Third placed Sirjana Singh from Nepali Congress has received 3,126 votes.
Likewise, Sunita Dangol from CPN UML has strengthened her lead in the vote counting. She has already secured 5,844 votes while Rameshwor Shrestha received only 1,609.
