Kathmandu, Oct 28: The Nepali film ‘Baristha Balaram’ has grossed Rs 20 million within five days of its release.
According to producer Ashish Tamang, the film, which was released on October 23, collected over Rs 20 million by October 27 , 2025. “So far, our film has grossed more than Rs 20 million in five days,” Tamang said, adding that it is still running with high occupancy across cinema halls.
He noted that audiences have connected deeply with the film’s emotional narrative and its portrayal of local-level power dynamics. “Viewers have appreciated the message that emotional bonds can be as strong as blood relations,” he said. “They’ve also enjoyed the themes of local resource exploitation and the love story.”
Tamang shared that viewers have praised the unique performances of actors Dayahang Rai and Bijay Baral.
Baristha Balaram is directed by Surendra Paudel and produced under the banner of Brisav Siddhi Entertainment in collaboration with Anvi Films. The film stars Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, Samriddhi Aryal, Pashupati Rai, Maotse Gurung, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Ram Babu Regmi, and Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary (PK), among others.
The story and editing are by director Paudel, with the screenplay written by Mahesh Dawadi. The film is produced by Ashish Tamang and Shree Raj Karki, with Pradeep Dhami and Pushkar Ghimire as executive producers, and Ram Bista as line producer.
Man Krishna Maharjan handled cinematography, Prashant Siwakoti composed the music, Samrat Basnet directed the action, and Pradeep Lamo choreographed the dance sequences.
