Bhojpur, May 2: Church Boys United Lalitpur has entered the final of the 8th International Invitational Bhojpur Mayor Gold Cup Football Tournament.
n the second semi-final of the tournament held here on Friday, Church Boys defeated Bhagwati Sports Club Khotang by 1-0 to book a place in the final. Church Boys’ Samir Tamang scored the only goal of the match. Samir was also adjudged the player of the match to win Rs 5,000 in cash.
Church Boys United will fight for the title against Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal team in the final match to be held on Saturday, according to Bhaskar Tamang, vice-president of the Bhojpur District Football Association.
The winner and runner-up of the tournament, which is organized by the District Football Association and sponsored by Bhojpur Municipality, will receive Rs 500,000 and Rs 300,000 in cash, respectively, along with trophy and medals.
A total of eight teams including Georgian Football Club of India took part in the competition that began on April 27.#nepal #political #rss
