Kathmandu, July 9: The bill related to child rights (First Amendment), 2082′ has been presented in the House of Representatives today.
The bill was presented by Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi. While presenting the bill, Minister Sudi said that it is necessary to amend the relevant law in a timely manner to implement the fundamental rights envisaged by the Constitution for children.
Minister Sudi stated that it is necessary to amend the bill to make the juvenile justice system convenient, simple, and child-friendly, and to institutionalize and strengthen the child protection system, while maintaining a balance in all aspects of child rights.
