Bimala Ghimire elected as the Vice Chair of the National Assembly



Kathmandu, April 10: National Assembly Member from Nepal Communist Party (UML) Bimala Ghimire has been elected as the Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly today.

Ghimire secured 39 votes while other candidate from Nepali Congress Bishnu Devi Pudasaini received 16 votes in the 59 member National Assembly. CPN UML and CPN Maoist Centre forged an alliance in favor of Ghimire.

Chairman of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal announced that Ghimire was elected for the post of Vice Chairperson at today’s meeting of the National Assembly.

Chairman Dahal also congratulated the newly elected Vice Chairperson Ghimire. According to NA Secretariat, 55 members participated in today’s voting process.

The next meeting of the assembly will be held at 1:15 pm on Friday 30th of Chait. #Nepal
