Krishnanagar, Jan 7: A local level has honoured as many as 400 senior citizens of Shivaraj municipality-6 in the district by offering them blankets in the wake of cold.
Ward chairman Mahetab Khan informed that the senior citizens above 60 years were provided blankets.
Chairman Khan viewed the local level had taken initiative to serve the elderly and receive blessing from them. It will be established as a trend, he added. Distribution of blankets to the senior ones makes them happy, while it makes the people’s representatives active and spirited.
On the occasion, honoured person and former ward chairman Santri Prasad Kurmi expressed thanks to the local level for honouring and taking care of them.
He suggested people’s representatives to make senior citizens happy with creative schemes. #Nepal
