Banepa: At least 17 people have died in a bus accident in Bethanchok rural municipality-4 Chalal Ganeshthan of Kavre.
The Ba 3 Kha 4385 bus accident happened at a place called Sallafed of Chalal Ganeshsthan located in Ward No. 4 around 6 pm on Tuesday. The accident happened when the reserve bus was returning from Ward No. 11 of Banepa Municipality to Chyalti located in Ward No. 5 of the Rural Municipality.
According to preliminary reports, at least 20 people have been seriously injured in the accident. The injured have been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital, Scher Memorial Hospital and two critical children were sent to Kathmandu.
Locals, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army were mobilized for rescue works.
