Kathmandu, June 11: Eight people were killed on the spot when a passenger bus met with a fatal accident at Buchakot in Namobuddha Municipality-2 of Kavrepalanchok district on Friday afternoon.
The passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 8398), which was travelling from Banepa towards Roshi Rural Municipality, plunged approximately 200 metres off the road at Buchakot at around 2:15 PM today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista of the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, confirmed that 16 people, including the driver, sustained injuries in the accident. The injured are currently receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.
