Kathmandu, June 19: The government has decided to appoint Dr Gopal Prasad Bhatta as a chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).
Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Bikram Timilsina, shared this information following the meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Singha Durbar today.
The Cabinet meeting also decided to allow presentation of a bill on making effective the then provisions of Nepal Special Service Act, 2042 in the federal parliament.
The bill designed to amend and integrate the laws relating to Rastriya Sewa Dal will also be presented in the parliament as per government decision, according to Minister Dr Timilsina.
An approval in principle was given by the government for formulation of a bill to amend and integrate the existing laws on cooperatives for bringing reform in cooperative sectors. Even an approval was given to make a separate law on the Savings and Credit Cooperatives (Regulation and Supervision).
The Cabinet meeting further decided to present the substitution bill designed to amend Some Nepal Act regarding the Cooperatives Act, 2074; Public Procurement Act, 2063; Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2064; and Academy of Health Sciences in the federal parliament. #nepal #rss
