Cabinet decisions: Talks team formed to address loan sharking issues



Kathmandu, July 16: The government has formed a talk team under the coordination of secretary at Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Pushkar Sapkota, to address the demands of people suffering from loan sharking.

The Cabinet meeting held on Thursday formed the talks team having joint secretaries from the Finance Ministry, the Home Ministry, the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, according to Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Bikram Timilsina.

Nepal Rastra Bank has been given an approval to mint the coins of Rs one and two denomination in new design.

Minister Dr Timilsina further shared that the government decided to accept the grant of 1.81 million US dollars to be provided by the Korean government for establishment of Nepal law information pilot system.

The related ministry would be given authority to decide as per existing law on clearing trees and infrastructures in the areas falling under project construction site.

The Cabinet meeting also endorsed the organization and management survey and quotas of various ministries; Policy and Research Institute Development Committee (formation) (first amendment) Order, 2083 and the provision on management of employees working on contract, according to Minister Timilsina. #nepal #rss
