Kathmandu, May 26: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the central governing body of Nepal cricket, has announced the central contract classification and their remuneration for 38 male and 25 female national cricketers for 2026.
In the men’s category, Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane have been placed in the top Category A+. The players of this category will receive a salary of Rs. 120,000 per month.
Likewise, Sompal Kami, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel and Karan KC have been included in Category A, while Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Aarif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki, Nandan Yadav and Gulshan Jha feature in Category B.
Category C includes players such as Sundeep Jora, Arjun Kumal, Kushal Malla, Sher Malla, Ishan Pandey and others, while 15 emerging cricketers have been listed under the Development category.
In the women’s section, Indu Barma, Puja Mahato, Rubina Chhetri and Sita Rana Magar have been placed in Category A. Kabita Kunwar, Samjhana Khadka and Manisha Upadhyaya are among those included in Category B.
CAN has fixed monthly salaries for male cricketers at Rs 120,000 for Category A+, Rs 100,000 for Category A, Rs 75,000 for Category B, Rs 55,000 for Category C and Rs 35,000 for Development players.
Similarly, women cricketers in Category A will receive Rs 55,000 per month, Category B players Rs 40,000, Category C players Rs 30,000 and Development category players Rs 25,000.
The cricket governing body also announced match fees for both men’s and women’s national players, with Rs 10,000 allocated for each T20I match and Rs 15,000 for every ODI match. #nepal #cricket
