CAN appoints Dassanayke as mentor for USA series



Kathmandu, Oct 17: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the supreme body to govern the Nepali cricket, has appointed it’s former coach 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐮 𝐃𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐤𝐞 as the mentor of the Nepal national cricket team.

The triangular series under the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 will be held from October 25 to November 4, featuring matches between the USA, Nepal, and Scotland. CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama announced that Dassanayke has been nominated for the role of mentor for this series.

Dassanayke will serve as the mentor for the Nepal team throughout the tournament. Nepal’s first match will be against the USA on October 27. The second match will be against Scotland on October 29, followed by a third match against the USA on November 2. The fourth and final match will see Nepal competing against Scotland on November 4.

Recently, Janakpur Royals, a team participating in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), appointed Dassanayke as their head coach. After the conclusion of League 2, Dasanayake is expected to return to Nepal for the NPL. #CAN #nepal #cricket #ICC
