Case filed against 10 including Alam seeking life imprisonment

Rautahat, Nov 4  : The office of the Government Attorney, Rautahat, on Monday filed a case against 10 persons including Nepali Congress leader and former minister Mohammad Aftab Alam at the District Court Rautahat on three different offenses, seeking life imprisonment.

District Judge at the office of the Government Attorney, Khadindraraj Katuwal, said that Rautahat Police has filed three cases of murder, attempt to murder and use of explosive materials to carry out the act.

The office of the Government Attorney has decided to file the case on the basis of the report that people were burnt alive in a brick kiln at Rautahat 12 years ago.

The Government Attorney filed the case at the District Court, alleging that some people including Alam murdered on April 9, 2008 some people including Trilok Pratap Singh and Osi Akhtar Miya of Yamunamai rural municipality by burning them alive in the brick kiln.

Mohammad Mahatab Alam, the brother of Aftab Alam,  Sheikh Vadai, Mohammad Mobin Alam, Sheikh Seraj, Badri Sahani, Sheikh Phajalehek, Sagir Alam. Sheikh Malkar and Gauri Shankar Shah have also been named in the chargesheet.
