
Dhanusha, March 14: Chief Minister of Madhes Province Satish Kumar Singh was honoured with this year’s title of ‘Maha Murkha’ at a function in Janakpurdham on Friday.
Mithila Natyakala Parishad (MINAP) honours an individual with the title of ‘Maha Murkha’ every year on the occasion of the Holi festival. Chief Minister Singh was conferred with the title of this year’s ‘Maha Murkha’ at the second day of the cultural event Maha Murkha Conference.
The Chief Minister was presented with the title of Maha Murkha (the great fool) in appreciation to his performances made in the health care sector. On the occasion, different humors and cultural related performances were made.
This event is being organized since 2061 BS for the preservation of Jogira song, which is sung in the Maithili language.
Last year, Speaker of Madhes Province Assembly Ramchandra Mandal was presented the title while Mayor of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City Manoj Sah got the title in 2079 BS.#nepal #political#rss
