Chief Minister Singh gets vote of confidence, removes six ministers



Janakpurdham, July 6: Chief Minister of Madhes Province Satish Kumar Singh has got the vote of confidence today. Chief Minister Singh got 67 votes of the total 101 votes cast.

Likewise, 34 votes from Janata Samajwadi Party, CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Sanghiya Samajwadi Party were cast against the confidence motion in the province assembly meeting.

The province assembly members from Janamat Party, CPN (UML), Nepali Congress, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party backed the chief minister’s confidence motion.

Meanwhile, the effect of the change of political coalition at the center has been felt in Madhesh province. Chief Minister Singh today removed four parties from the government and dismissed six ministers.

Ministers from CPN-Maoist Centre, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nepal Sanghiya Samajbadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party have been dismissed.

Finance Minister Bharat Prasad Shah, Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Yuvraj Bhattarai, Land Management Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Govind Bahadur Neupane, Energy, Irrigation and Drinking Water Minister Bechi Lungeli, Home and Communications Minister Bimala Ansari and Labor and Transport Minister Urmila Chaudhary have been sacked. #nepal #Madhes
