China hands over relief materials to Nepal



Kathmandu, Nov 8: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha receives the emergency relief materials provided by the Government of PR China at Pokhara Int’l Airport.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song handed over the materials worth RMB 15 million. Fifty tons of relief materials was carried by two Y-20 Aircrafts from China, Amb Chen said.

According to Chinese ambassador Song, the Chinese government has decided to provide additional 15 million RMB ( 260 million Rupees)of emergency humanitarian assistance to help Nepal carry out earthquake relief work.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross Society of China will donate 100,000 USD ( 13 million Rupees)in emergency cash assistance to Nepal.
