KATHMANDU, Dec 22: China’s State Council Information Office on Tuesday released a white paper titled “Sustainable Development of Transport in China.”
The paper have incorporated and recognised “China-Nepal Cross Border Railway” construction. The paper says, “China recognizes the importance of transport in promoting global connectivity and shared prosperity, and thus strengthens win-win cooperation with other countries in transport connectivity.”
However, there is no such modality of financing or completion of the project. It has been taken as part of Belt and Road Initiative.
The paper states, “The Belt and Road Initiative embodies great dreams. Following the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, China joins hands with other countries to accelerate cooperation in infrastructure connectivity and build a high-quality development path that is inclusive and beneficial to all – a road of peace, cooperation and prosperity.”
