Chinese aid for earthquake victims arriving



Kathmandu, Nov 4: The government of China has decided to send emergency material for the Jajarkot earthquake victims.

According to a tweet from Ambassador of China to Nepal Chen Song, as the first emergency response, China will provide materials worth NRs 100 million to the earthquake-stricken area, including tents, blankets from China South Asian Countries Emergency Supplies Reserve.

All this material will arrive in couple of days. More aids are on the way, he has said.

The Friday night earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude in Jajarkot and Rukum West district have so far killed 155 people and hundreds of houses flattened.

The government of Nepal has activated it’s full strength for search and rescue operation. However people have been waiting for relief material for temporary shelter.
