Chinese organizations donate health materials

KATHMANDU: The various Buddhist organizations at the Chinese Buddhist Monastery in Lumbini and Yan Xian Ancient Temple in Hui Zhou, China have provided health supplies to Nepal.

On behalf of the Buddhist monastery and the temple, the students were asked to donate the such materials. Likewise, Professor Lu Boxiang also mobilized the students of Lu Ban Course for the support.

Similarly, Shanghai Rijie Environmental Technology also joined the donation team. Xiao Dinh Transportation have contributed to the storage and transportation of the donated materials.

Professor Lu, their students and the school have been supporting Nepal for a long time. They also helped Nepal during the 2015 Gorkha earthquake.

On this occasion, 38 oxygen machines (5L), three hypochloric acid connected automatic disinfection equipments, 60 air disinfectant solutions (5L), 560 Disinfectant Solutions(for hand-use)(70mL) have been provided as assistance.

Earlier, the Charity Foundation of the Changzhou and Shenzhen Hongfa Temples under the Buddhist Association and the Chinese Buddhist Monasteries Association had provided a large amount of surgical masks and other medical supplies to Nepal.

These organizations have provided assistance to support the Government of Nepal’s ongoing efforts to control the Coronavirus pandemic.

Last year, with the help of Si Chong Yong, an international member of the Buddhist Association of China and director of the Chinese Buddhist Monastery in Lumbini, the health-related materials were handed over to Prof. Dr. Rajiv Kumar Jha, President of the Nepal Trans-Himalayan Society.
