Biratnagar, July 27: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, has urged the people in Sunsari to exercise restraint, expressing sorrow over the incident occurred at Dewangunj Rural Municipality in the district.
Issuing a press release on Monday, Chief Minister Karki called all the citizens not to run behind incomplete information and rumor but to promote social harmony, mutual trust and fraternity during this sensitive time.
“We Nepalis have remained united since centuries by respecting our ethnicities, languages, religions and cultures. I request all stakeholders, civil society, political parties, people’s representatives and media persons to maintain social and communal harmony,” reads the statement.
Chief Minister Karki mentioned that the Koshi province government is committed to ensure coordination and cooperation with the bodies concerned.
He requested the government to save lives and properties by making security arrangements immediately and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
