Janakpur, Aug 6: Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Satish Kumar Singh, has called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and requested for his cooperation in implementing the projects forwarded for the prosperity in province.
CM Singh met PM Oli and handed him over a 22-point memorandum which has sought federal government’s assistance towards various development projects including establishment of Janaki Temple Development Trust, beautification of Ram Mandir, and others.
The list of projects to which federal government was sought help were intensification of postal highway, connection of east-west highway to major cities in southern plains, construction of tourism corridors, and management of 12-bigha.
CM Singh also reminded PM Oli that industrial corridor along Bara and Parsa districts was awaiting full operation, while deposit of agricultural grant directly to farmers’ account, operation of trade and export centre at province level, among others were equally important.
