Comments on political parties are positive: President Deuba

Kathmandu, Oct 28: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that as a democratic political party the NC has accepted people’s comments on political forces on a positive note.

Talking to the media persons at a festival reception organized by the NC today, President Deuba said, “I have taken positively to the criticisms and comments made to the parties.”

Saying that the political parties should work with good faith to gain popularity, Deuba claimed that people’s trust to the political parties is equally intact. “Trust towards political parties and state mechanism has not diminished.”

Likewise, he dismissed the allegations of mistrust among the leaders in the NC. “There could be diverse views in the party. We are managing them,” he added.

Former prime minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, former speakers Agni Prasad Sapkota and Damannath Dhungana and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song were present in the NC’s festival reception.

UML senior leaders join NC’s festival reception

Top leaders of the CPN (UML) attended a festival reception organised by the Nepali Congress (NC) today at the party central office Sanepa.

Former Prime Minister and UML chair KP Sharma Oli, senior vice chair Ishwor Pokhrel, vice chair Bishnu Poudel, leaders Pradeep Gyawali, Raghuji Pant, Chhabilal Bishwakarma and Bishnu Rimal visited Sanepa to join the reception.

In his response to a query about ‘questions’ over political parties regarding various political development in the nations, Oli, the leader of the major opposition, said such questions were intended and they would be addressed in an appropriate time.
