Kathmandu, Aug 16: Nepali commercial banks have published their interest rate effective from Bhadra 1, 2081 BS showing a reduction in interest rates for the month of Bhadra.
Out of the 20 commercial banks, 18 have published their interest rates. Among these, 13 banks have reduced their rates, while four banks have maintained the same rates as in Shrawan. One bank, however, has increased its interest rate.
NIC Asia and NMB Bank offer the highest interest rates
For the month of Bhadra, NIC Asia and NMB Bank have offered the highest interest rates, with a maximum rate of 7.41% on individual fixed deposits and 6.41% on institutional fixed deposits.
On the other hand, Nepal Bank offers the lowest interest rate, with a maximum of 5.25% on such deposits.
