Congress organising polls in Kathmandu’s 20 constituencies today

KATHMANDU: The province assembly convention of the Nepali Congress (NC) in Kathmandu district’s 20 constituencies is taking place today.

The province assembly convention is being conducted in province assembly constituencies ‘A’ and ‘B’ of all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu district as a schedule of the party’s 14th general convention.

NC Kathmandu’s Chief Election Officer and Senior Advocate Narahari Acharya said that election officers have been deployed in all 20 province assembly constituencies to organise the convention.

Prior to this, the NC conducted its convention in all 138 wards and 11 local levels in Kathmandu district.

Likewise, the constituency-level convention is taking place on November 22 and district convention is fixed for November 26.

The NC is scheduled to organise its 14th general convention from December 10-12 in Kathmandu.
