Kathmandu, Oct 16: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that organizations like ‘Jaya Nepal Foundation’ will play an important role in institutionalizing the federal democratic republic.
Unveiling the Jaya Nepal Foundation’s souvenir ‘Jaya Nepal Sandesh’ at his private residence in Budhanilkantha today, President Deuba urged to establish democratic system and rule of law, maintain good governance and protect people’s rights.
He asked the foundation to help the Congress in its campaign to institutionalize the republic system by giving constructive suggestions and feedback.
Expressing happiness that the Jaya Nepal International Foundation has been established to unite the Nepalese community scattered around the world, former Prime Minister Deuba said that everyone’s support is needed in the campaign to advance Nepal.
Chair of the foundation, Badri Aryal, informed President Deuba about the organization’s activities, objectives and campaign.
Editor-in-Chief of Jaya Nepal Sandesh, Prof. Dr. Dhaneshwar Nepal and Foundation Member Secretary and Head of Publication and Publicity Department Bijayaraj Adhikari briefed Deuba about the contents and ideas contained in the souvenir.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization established with the aim of increasing cooperation and harmony between Nepali youths in Nepal and scattered around the world.
