DHANGADHI: The Ward Convention of the Nepali Congress is being held in Kailali from today under the 14th General Convention of the party. Ward Chair Narnarayan Shah shared that ward conventions will start in all 126 wards of the district from today.
Stating that election officers have been deployed in all the wards for the convention, he said that a main committee of 1,501 members and 11 sub-committees have been formed to make the convention a success.
In Kailali, Tek Bahadur Subedi has been given the responsibility of Chief Election Officer, according to Nepali Congress Kailali.
There are 18, 273 active members of Nepali Congress in Kailali. Dhangadhi sub-metropolis has the most active members in the district, with 4,503 members including 1,129 women and 3,374 men.
