KATHMANDU: The coronavirus infection has been confirmed in additional 2,874 people across the country in 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 9,901 RT-PCR tests conducted in different districts on Thursday confirmed coronavirus in 2,874 people.
Similarly, 5,337 antigen tests showed COVID-19 infection in 875 people.
Likewise, 5,293 people have been recovered from coronavirus infection in 24 hours across the country. At the same time, the number of people recovering from corona infection has reached 515,591.
According to the ministry, another 59 people have been died across the country. The number of deaths from COVID-19 infection in Nepal has reached 8,238.
A total of 2,244,619 people have received one dose of vaccine while another 691,494 have received second dose of vaccine. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has issued interim guidelines on the use and operation of Vero Cell vaccine.
According to the ministry, a total of 1,261 people have been admitted in ICUs and 382 in ventilators across the country. Likewise, 72,178 people are still in home isolation and 5,680 people are in institutional isolation.
