KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 708 people across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
At the same time, the number of infected people has reached 259,548 across the country. The number of active infected people is 6,396 and there are 369 in quarantine.
According to the ministry, 1,921,367 RT-PCR tests have been carried out so far.
Similarly, 731 people have been recovered and discharged in 24 hours. Likewise, the total number of people recovered from coronavirus has reached 251,312.
Eight people have died from coronavirus infection in 24 hours. The total death toll due to covid-19 infection have reached 1,840.
