Coronavirus infection to Minister Mani Thapa



KATHMANDU: Minister for Drinking Water Mani Thapa has been confirmed to have coronavirus infection. A swab sample was tested on Thursday and an infection was confirmed in him.

“A report on Friday morning showed an infection,” said a source close to Thapa’s secretariat. Thapa’s health is normal and he is resting at his residence, according to his secretariat.

Four days ago, Thapa’s daughter was also confirmed to have coronavirus infection. After that, swabs of 10 people in his secretariat, including Minister Thapa, were collected and tested.

Earlier, Energy Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and his family members were also confirmed to have been infected with the coronavirus.
