Coronavirus test of MPs on May 5 and 6

KATHMANDU: The coronavirus test of the parliamentarians will be held on May 5 and 6.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, swabs will be collected at the Parliament House, Naya Baneshwor from 10 am to 5 pm.

A special session of the House of Representatives has been convened on May 10. Before the meeting, swabs of MPs, secretariat staff and dignitaries are being collected for coronavirus test.

On Monday, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota had a discussion with the doctors about the measures to be taken against the coronavirus pandemic. During the discussion, the participating doctors suggested mandatory coronavirus testing for all those entering Parliament.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has convened a special session on May 10 to seek a vote of confidence.
