KATHMANDU, Dec 05: A total of 1,024 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the country in the past 24 hours.
The Kathmandu valley alone recorded 460 new cases during the period. With this, the country’s coronavirus tally reached 239,885 as of December 5.
Similarly, altogether 2,206 infected persons recovered from the virus across the country in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, so far 224,053 infected persons recovered from the coronavirus infection.
The Ministry further shared that 14,255 are the active cases of virus infection in the country. The recovery rate of the coronavirus in Nepal is 93.4 per cent, the Ministry shared.
Similarly, a total of 1,577 infected persons died of the infection till December 5 in the country including 10 COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours.
