Country records 2,824 new cases of Covid-19

Kathmandu: A total of 2,824 new cases of corona virus infection were recorded in the country in the past 24 hours. Of the new cases, a total of 1,622 are from the Kathmandu valley alone.

According to Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshwar Gautam, altogether 3,620 patients returned home after complete recovery in the past 24 hours.

He added that the total infected persons in the country are 173,567 till today. Similarly, altogether 134, 842 persons won the battle against Covid-19 in the country so far.

Similarly active cases of corona virus across the country are 37,765 and of them 6,779 are in institutional isolation centres while remaining others are in home isolation.

Dr Gautam further shared that 23 infected patients died in the past 24 hours. With this, total deaths caused by Covid-19 reached 960 till November 1.
