COVID-19: 142 new cases reported in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: One hundred and forty two cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, these cases were identified while conducting PCR tests on 3,597 individuals. With these new cases, total number of the Coronavirus infection has reached 271,431 till today.
There are a total of 2,335 active cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry further shared that 206 COVID-19 infected persons returned home upon full recovery in the past 24 hours in the country. With this, the total number of recovery has reached 267,065 till date.

Sixty one COVID-19 patients were undergoing treatment in ICU facilities while 17 were being treated with ventilator support. Altogether 95 individuals suspected to have contracted flu-like infection were in quarantine facility.

Likewise, the Ministry said that one more infected person died today, taking the total fatalities caseload to 2,031 as of now.
