Kathmandu: The country recorded a total of 2,571 new cases of the coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the PCR test of 11,177 people confirmed the infection in 2,571 people.
According to the ministry, the number of infected people has reached 197,024. Of the infected, 159,724 people have been recovered.
Coronavirus infection has killed 18 people in the last 24 hours. The number of deaths due to corona infection has reached 1,126 across the country.
In the past 24 hours, Province 1 witnessed 309 new cases, Province 2 recorded 63 cases and Bagmati Province 1,620 cases.
Likewise, 216 cases were recorded in Gandaki Province, 176 in Lumbini, 20 in Karnali and 167 cases in Sudurpaschim Province in the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, 411 are receiving treatment in ICU beds and 83 are in ventilators.
